Beijing Dongtu Theatre Acrobatic Show – “Star Dream” is a first-class selection of acrobatic show created by the China National Acrobatic Troupe. Every day has an acrobatic show at Beijing Dongtu Theatre. With many golden award-winning acts, the show combines Chinese national music, dance, and acrobatics arts. The Chinese inspiration, national culture and charm of traditional acrobatics are fully displayed in the show. “Heaven and Earth Treasure” is a long-term Beijing acrobatic show in Dongtu Theatre. The theme of the Dongtu Theatre acrobatics show is an adventure story of exploring treasure, and the clown character as a clue runs through the whole plot.
China National Acrobatic Troupe as one of the participating plays of the “Talent Performance Season” of Beijing Performing Arts Group in 2022, the special performance of “Four Seats of Shock” specially planned and launched at the Dongtu Theatre on September 30. The performance featured a luxurious cast team composed of Cao Kai, the champion of the variety show “Four Seats of Shock.” Several acrobatic gold award winners reproduced the “explosive” programs and the various innovation gold award programs on several TV variety shows, which triggered cheers from the audience and enthusiastic responses from the online audience, especially the comments and program guides of professional guests on the stage, which pushed the performance to a climax.
The special performance of “Four Seats of Shock” innovatively uses the form of “acrobatic situation performance + three-way dialogue.” The exhibition program integrates artistry, story, and ornamentation, vividly showing the front and back of the Chinese National Acrobatic Troupe and the new generation of young talents to the new generation of traditional ball skills, umbrella pedaling, empty bamboo, and other acrobatics.
On the stage of “Four Seats of Shock,” Cao Kai’s “Thrill – Pedaling – Ball Skills” realizes the innovative integration of traditional Chinese acrobatics and Western dance, with free ball skills and free-spirited tap dance, changing with the rhythm of music, showing the charm of acrobatics and dance to the fullest. It is worth mentioning that Xing Yunwei silently “tells” his original intention to pursue the ultimate acrobatic art with “Sweet Hardship – Top Skill” and the pursuit and persistence of the younger generation on acrobatics, showing the infinite possibilities of acrobatic expression.
“Pretty Hua Dan – Collective Empty Bamboo,” which has won the highest international acrobatic awards, “Golden Clown” Award and “Yellow Crane Gold Award” many times, under the wonderful interpretation of Li Liping, Liu Qianying, Li Anna, Tang Guangrui, Liu Yuan, Luo Siyu, Wang Yijia, Li Hanyi, Xia Wensi, Zheng Xiangqian, Guo Yajie, Yang Qing and other new generation of empty bamboo actors, surprised the four seats, and also let more audiences feel the unique charm of the “new Beijing taste” culture presented by the integration and innovation of Peking Opera elements and acrobatic skills in the show.
